IT'S TIME TO TERRACE!

As we head towards spring and the end of lockdown in London, make the most of the new season with a visit to one of our brand new terraces in partnership with Veuve Cliquot and Cloudy Bay. Open from April 12th, we'll be offering tempting dishes, our very own Oyster Meister, delicious seafood, grazing boards to share and cocktails alongside some of the most iconic views in London!

Our something new for 2021 is our Cakes & Bubbles terrace. Sit and watch the world go by with a glass of Champagne and delicious sweet treats from award winning pastry chef Albert Adria. Cakes & Bubbles, is partnering with famed Champagne House Veuve Cliquot on an al fresco terrace offering pavement drinks and dining along Regent Street. The Cakes & Bubbles Terrace is perfect for those seeking a return to the buzz of the city. The 'World's Best Pastry Chef' Albert Adrià’s first offering outside of his native Spain, Cakes & Bubbles pays homage to desserts with delectable dishes that are renowned across the globe. The full Cakes & Bubbles experience will be available via the Tasting Menu, with champagne and cakes also on offer to celebrate reuniting with friends and family. There’s nowhere better to while away the afternoon than sipping champagne on London’s most celebrated shopping destination, Regent Street, and watch the world go by.

Green Bar Terrace

On neighbouring Glasshouse Street, the hotel’s Green Bar will be popping up outside in partnership with celebrated New Zealand winemaker Cloudy Bay. Guests can opt for small bites, grazing boards or sharing platters that will be served alongside cocktails, teas, coffees and juices created by Hotel Café Royal’s expert culinary team. Green Bar Terrace will be tucked away from the main curve on Glasshouse Street, offering a more secluded spot to soak up the sunshine. With lush greenery surrounding the tables, Cloudy Bay’s signature Sauvignon Blanc will be served with specially paired dishes to suit all appetites. For those wishing for something truly spectacular, the Seafood Extravaganza Box promises to be the most luxurious seafood selection to enjoy the freshest catch. On every Saturday starting in June, and running throughout the summer, Hotel Café Royal’s Oyster Meister will be shucking oysters al fresco from 1-5pm.

Restaurant Safety Guidelines - Our commitment during Covid-19

The health and wellbeing of our customers and staff is our utmost priority. To help make dining with us as safe as possible, we have implemented a number of social distancing and hygiene practices throughout our restaurants, including a reduced number tables, sanitiser stations and paper menus.

 

How are we ensuring safety in our Restaurants/Bars and Terraces?   

A limited number of guests per table. Currently our maximum is 4 per table on our terraces and 6 people per table in our indoor venues.

A reduced number of tables to allow for social distancing

The provision of hand sanitiser throughout the restaurant

Contactless payment options to avoid cash transactions

Regular cleaning of high frequency touchpoints  

Protective face masks for our staff 

Hygienic option for storing face masks during meal 

 

What we ask of our guests

To refrain from visiting the restaurant should you start displaying any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19

Keep correct social distancing of 2-metre-plus from staff and guests 

Sanitise your hands when entering the restaurant

Regularly wash and/or sanitise your hands throughout your visit

NHS Track & Trace. All visitors will be required to check in to enter our hospitality venues, using the NHS Covid App not just one per group. Those who do not have access to the app we will require you to give us your details manually. Anyone who does not comply will be refused entry.

 

Summer Terrace Bookings – Available from 12th April until 29th September

Smoking is only applicable on our allocated smoking tables

The Veuve Cliquot Terrace serves the full Cakes & Bubbles experience

The Cloudy Bay Terrace serves a full bar and food service

 

Indoor Venue Bookings – Available from 17th May

Maximum number of guests per table is 4 when making your reservation online. Larger tables up to a maximum of 6 can be made directly with our reservations team. 

Tables will be allocated for 2 hours only per reservation
