Director of Marketing

As our Director of Marketing, you are responsible for overseeing all matters relating to branding, offline marketing, partnerships and in conjunction with the Regional Digital Marketing Manager, all digital activity. In addition, you will manage all external marketing collateral, promotional materials and communications in order to promote our hotel facilities and services in the most engaging and informative way possible. Passion to provide a personalised guest experience, eloquent and detailed communication skills and extensive product knowledge; combined with knowledge of the latest trends in the London hotel and international travel scene are required trademarks for this position to successfully master the elegant communication of our business.

The role:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive ADR growth and Suites Sales. In conjunction with the Director of Brand and Marketing, and Regional digital manager, plan and coordinate an on-going programme of marketing and promotional activities, to effectively target specific Markets (Focus: Suites, Leisure, LTA’s, Groups). Creating content for special events (i.e. Christmas & Easter) and local events (i.e. Wimbledon or London Fashion Week)
  • Support the growth in Events business
  • Enhance and grow exposure and revenues for Akasha
  • Devise and review packages & promotions in partnership with the revenue team
  • Build long lasting and revenue generating partnerships
  • Develop Beautifully Composed printed and digital Collateral
  • Run and manage photoshoots at the hotel
  • Protect and celebrate our brand
  • Create goodwill and nurture working relationships with all colleagues of Hotel Café Royal and The Set

Your profile:

  • Previous experience within a similar Marketing Management role
  • Candidates should ideally have experience within the Luxury Hospitality, Leisure or Travel industries and extensive knowledge of the latest trends in the London hotel and international travel scene 
  • Exceptional communications skills a must including a fluent level of spoken and written English combined with excellent copy writing skills
  • Qualifications in degree in marketing, graphic design, web design, communications, journalism or similar is essential
  • Displays a passionate, fun and enthusiastic approach to work in order to inspire and motivate junior members of the team, creating an enjoyable, cohesive and supportive working environment to work within
  • Exceptional administration and IT skills and be proficient in a number of website design tools
