Storekeeper

As a Storekeeper you will become part of a specialised purchasing team that provides a dedicated procurement service on behalf of our team, guests and suppliers. Working as part of a wider finance team you’ll be responsible for coordinating deliveries and managing requisition requests to our departmental teams to ensure that par stock levels are maintained within the general store and across the business, as well as ensure no disruption to the hotel’s workflow.

With a meticulous eye for detail, passion in ensuring that all goods and items are checked and accounted for as they enter the main store or distributed to our departmental teams across the business, you’ll also work closely with the purchasing team to adhere to operating stocks. As guardian of our general stores you’ll be responsible for implementing a host of stock and rotation control measures and play a pivotal role in the monthly stock take and management of our inventory.

The role:

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager your responsibility is to ensure that all goods delivered are meeting the high quality standards and are appropriately distributed to the stores. As a Storekeeper you will manage all logistical aspects of the store, including but not limited to:

  • Coordinating the administration for received items, including reconcile it on the procurement system.
  • Monitoring and updating of temperature files and fresh food weights.
  • Coordination of daily requisitions and deliveries.
  • Working closely with the purchasing office and support them on a daily basis with their daily tasks.

Your profile:

  • Proven background in a similar role in a busy Purchasing department
  • Experience in a similar establishment, ideally in a large, multi-outlet 4 or 5 star hotel environment
  • Highly organised, strong supervisory skills, along with great attention to detail
  • A flexible approach to working hours, as occasional weekend work is required (though in return you will be given days off in lieu)
