London Symphony Orchestra at Barbican Centre

The London Symphony Orchestra is founded on the principle that exceptional music should be accessible to all, wherever they may be. Established in 1904, it is now recognised as one of the world’s leading orchestras.

As the Resident Orchestra at the Barbican since its opening, the LSO performs around 50 concerts annually at the Centre. Its distinguished family of conductors includes Chief Conductor Designate Sir Antonio Pappano, Conductor Emeritus Sir Simon Rattle, Principal Guest Conductors Gianandrea Noseda and François – Xavier Roth, Conductor Laureate Michael Tilson Thomas, and Associate Artists Barbara Hannigan and André J Thomas.
